Pet Movers (S) Pte. Ltd. offers an extensive service for clients wishing to import their pets from overseas destinations into Singapore.
There are a number of important prerequisites for each animal being imported into Singapore:
An original certificate, issued by a duly Qualified Veterinarian, stating that “the pet is healthy and free from any contagious or infectious disease at the time of inspection” is a requirement for all pet/s entering Singapore. Please note that the date of this certificate must be within 7 days from the date of entry into Singapore.
Please note that all Dogs & Cats arriving into Singapore must be accompanied with a Vaccination record confirming that the following was done, more than 2 weeks but less than 1 year from their date of entry into Singapore:
a) In the case of Dogs: against Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvo Virus.
b) Cats: against Feline Calcivirus, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Chlamydia Psittaci and Feline Panieukopaenia / Feline Parvovirus.
c) Note: Dogs & Cats under 4 months old must be vaccinated twice, 1 month apart and the 2nd vaccination must be done, at least 2 weeks from entry into Singapore.
Dogs/Cats must be treated against external parasites (Ticks and Fleas) between 2-10 days prior to export and Internal parasites (Nematodes and Cestodes) within 4 days prior to export to Singapore. Veterinary certification to confirm the treatments is compulsory.
All Dogs and Cats entering Singapore must be implanted with an ISO Standard Microchip. However it can also be done upon arrival into Singapore at additional cost/s.
Please note all dog/s have to be licensed, prior to quarantine release.
A Custom declaration is required if the total value of pet/s, inclusive of shipping costs, is more than SG$400.00. If we do not receive a Custom Invoice from you, the Customs or our Company will estimate a value for your pet/s base on the local market price of the animal and their freight costs. Please note that you will be liable for such tax disbursements and documentation (SG$50.00). The current GST charge is 7% of the total value declared.
Import Permit & Reservation of Quarantine Space
You can appoint Pet Movers to act as your Pet Agent by faxing us completed and signed copies of our Import forms.
Upon receiving the said forms, we will book quarantine space and inform Owner of confirmation or a possible wait-list.
Within 30 days from the date of arrival, Pet Movers will apply for an Import permit to allow entry of pet/s into Singapore. A copy of this permit & arrival procedures will be forwarded to Owner.

It is strongly advised that all pet/s shipment arrive into Singapore at least 2 hours before CAPQ close.
Changi Plant and Animal Quarantine Station (CAPQ) operating hours:
Mondays to Saturdays 8.00am to 1.00pm, 2pm to 10.30pm, Sundays & Public Holidays Closed Note: Pet/s arriving outside of CAPQ operating hours cannot be claim from airline and as such, will remain in their respective cage/s.
Notes for pets arriving as cargo:
In the case of cargo shipments, Airwaybill must indicate: Pet Movers (S) Pte Ltd, 4 Pasir Ris Farmway 2, Singapore 519318, Tel: 6581 3688, Fax: 6581 3735 (Owner:_________________________) as Consignee.
We require the Airwaybill number, Flight number and Date of Arrival at least 3 working days prior to entry of pet/s to track and ensure prompt clearance.
Arrival procedures for pet/s arriving with Owner as Excess Baggage:
Upon clearing Immigration and collecting your personal baggage, Owner must report to their Airline's Lost & Found counter. Owner is required to provide: a copy of Singapore Import Permit, their local address, telephone number to the counter staff and signing a “Passover Form” for the pet/s.
Note: Please DO NOT hand over the ORIGINAL Health Certificate and Vaccination Records to the airline staff.
After clearing customs, please hand over the originals to us.
Our Staff, wearing a T-shirt with Pet Movers (S) Pte Ltd & the logo will be at the arrival hall, after custom. He will be carrying a card containing Owner's name and will be facing the arrival flight's Baggage Collection Belt. Should the owner be unable to locate our staff, please call 6581 3688 (24hrs, Answering Service) requsting for a Pet Movers staff.
